Parrawa Lodge Managers

Karen and Rob have been Parrawa's Lodge Managers since 2024. They are a lovely couple from New Zealand who decided to make an exciting transformation in their working lives. They bring energy, motivation and enthusiasm to the Lodge, creating a warm, welcoming and fun environment for Parrawa's members and their invited guests.

Originally from England Karen has been in New Zealand for almost 30-years and has been an avid skier for 35 years. She is at home in the alpine environment and is a people person who has a natural curiosity and interest in others. She is a mum of four and enjoys time with family and friends, keeping fit via hiking and swimming and playing cards and board games. She has enjoyed a varied career as a journalist, traveller, tour guide and clinical psychologist.

Hailing from the Hawkes Bay in New Zealand, Rob brings his passion for food and cooking to Parrawa. Rob has also embraced a career change after 30 plus years in the IT industry culminating in a corporate managers role. He is already enjoying the transition from city office to garden and kitchen. Rob is a dad to four adult children, enjoys keeping fit via hiking and swimming, and is a keen foodie, gardener and handyman.
