Latest lodge review

We really enjoyed our stay at Parrawa Lodge in Perisher. Organised very efficiently at very short notice by Kay (thanks again, Kay). Would highly recommend it as a great place to stay on the snow. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very warm and enthusiastic welcome by Kylie and Paul.  We were shown around the lodge and afterwards were given a selection of cheeses and snacks to eat before dinner. The food was great, as usual. Every night we had a delicious three-course meal. Also, every morning we had a hot breakfast, fresh fruit, coffee, yoghurt, and cereal.  The coffee machine was very much appreciated.  Great coffee in whatever style you fancy.

The common areas were kept clean and at a comfortable temperature with the help of a fireplace. Each guest room had heaters that were on a timer which meant that the room did not get too hot but stayed nice and warm. The after-snow sauna was a real treat – heated up in advance, so nice and hot ready for our arrival.  Also, there is a bar and fridge so you can keep any food or drinks that you buy yourself cold.

The lodge is within walking distance from of mountain but there are oversnow vehicles every morning at 8:30am and 4:30 and 5:30pm in the afternoon. It is only a short trip to the chairlifts and the drivers take care of all your equipment.

We had the place to ourselves the first night, then were joined by a couple of groups, both of which were very friendly.  We’ve always found the people at Parrawa great.

Highly recommend it for a great on-snow experience.
